La Roche-Posay Review

I've been using the products for a while now, and I'm pleasantly surprised! Even though the packages are small, I can get a lot of use out of it.
I will do separate review on each of the three products I bought. And remember, this is just my personal experience with the products and my opinion on how they work FOR ME! It will not work equally well for everybody.

It is also important for you to know, what skin type I have:
I have combination skin with oily tendencies and the occasional spots and blemishes. Further more, my skin is rather sensitive and I break out quite easily. It doesn't tolerate sun as well, and I have freckles. Therefor I'm prone to a red-ish skin tone.

So here it comes:

 Physiological Micellar Solution

This is a gentle cleanser for sensitive skin, with thermal spring water. I use it in the morning to cleans the skin after sleeping. The consistency is very much like water and I really like that, it feels light on the face. It cleanses what it is suppose to, but I don't think it does that much really. It might not be worth your money, and I prefer the Vichy Normaderm one instead and use it as a toner.
Hydraphase Intense Legere

This product I really like. It is a moisturizer I use before bed, and it sinks into the skin very quickly and you get a refreshed feeling at once.
It is formulated with Hyaluronic Acid Fragments to infuse and lock water in for long-lasting hydration. This actually works! It is suitable for sensitive skin with dry tendencies.
I would recommend this if you have dry skin and need to hydrate it before applying your regular night-cream.
Effaclar K

This is my favorite and a cream made especially for oily skin and people with irregular skin tone and texture. It has micro-exfoliating actions that unplugs pores and keep the skin matt for a lot longer than normal creams. With regular use it decreases the number of future spots.
I use it under my make-up every morning, and it keeps my skin more even looking and less oily. This is a great product and a little goes a long way!

Overall about the products:

I'm really satisfied with these products and the fact that it is a pharmacy brand. Also they don't contain soap, alcohol or parabens. Most of La Roche-Posays product have a balanced PH, with is great for sensitive skin and people who are prone the acne.

I love the packaging. It looks really official and clean. I know this is easy to do and doesn't say anything about the products inside, but it sure doesn't hurt to keep it simple and pretty.
But. Yes there is a but. I don't really like the smell. They smell very clean, but I don't really like it. It's very hard to explain, but it doesn't smell like regular face products. More like a pharmaceutical product.

Anyways. Who cares about the smell, as long as the product works?

So, this was my review. Hope you found it helpful, and remember this is just MY opinion. You may not like these products as much as I do, and maybe it breaks you out. You have to test them yourself and not just take anyones word for it.
If you want more reviews, just tell me, and I'll see what I can do.

DIY studded collar

I bought a chiffon army-green shirt in H&M about a year ago, but haven't really used it. Don't know why, but I haven't found a great way to style it, as it is a bit big and see-through. So I decided to style it by adding some studs to the collar. It was surprisingly easy and all you need are some studs. I had some lying around, but it is pretty easy to find on eBay or similar sites. This is the result!

Ring: Primark

I think it adds a twist to an otherwise dull outfit, so I'm really pleased with it! It's also a great way to personalize your clothes. You can add or remove details as you like.

Ear Update 2

WUHUUUU!!! I'm finally able to wear regular earrings! I'm ecstatic!
I really like the way it looks, and now I have a lot more possibilities when dressing up.

I went to H&M just to see what was in and I discovered this earring set. I like that there's both silver and gold, and the animal print! I love animal print!!
So I tried a pair on and they actually fit! Only people who have had stretched ears and wanted to go back to normal will, know what a relief this was..

I'm happy :D

Shoe Sale!!!

As a rather tall girl 177 cm (5,10) I have no need for high heels. Still, I have a lot of them, which I never use!! It is such a shame that all of these pretty shoes never get a chance to go outside, so I've decided to sell them. This was a difficult decision, but now there is no turning back!
PLEASE BUY MY SHOES! They deserve a better life!

Atmosphere size 38(5). Adorable shoes, that would be great for weddings and special occasions. Nude with an ankle strap and a big bow. Never been worn. 200 dkkr

Graceland size 38(5). Gladiator heeled sandal. Worn twice. 150 dkkr

Graceland size 38(5). Elegant shoe, with a slightly lower heel, peep toe and ribbons. Very comfortable to wear. Worn about three times. 100 ddkr

H&M size 40(7). brown wedges with a rather high heel. Worn once. 100 dkkr.

Don't remember the brand, size 38(5) summery strappy sandal in nude. Never worn. 250 dkkr

Don't remember the brand, size 38(5), black peep toe sandal with straps and buckles. Worn once. 250 dkkr.

This is almost everyone of my high heels I haven't given to charity, because they haven't been worn a lot and is of pretty good quality. So please buy them. I could use the space in my closet for something else :)

Fading...

I've been ill for the last couple of days - hence the lack of blogpost. I've been laying in bed for 3 days now, and getting pretty sick of it, so I haven't been doing anything interesting. But I have noticed that the ombre dye in my hair seems to have faded. Or is it just my? :

Disregard the pale face, but to me it looks like the tips is not as light as they were two weeks ago.
Maybe I'm just getting used to it..

Hope you're having a great day, not being in bed like me.

Lash-tastic!

I just got home after riding my horse. I'm not exactly loving it at the moment in this freezing cold! All the horses go crazy this time of the year, because of the brisk cold and the lack of outside activity, so it is a struggle to get anything done.

Anyways, I took a warm shower and put on my make-up and got to thinking of something one of my friends once told me: "You have the longest eyelashes EVER! How do you put on your mascara?"

It is pretty simple what I do and I have to say, that the length of my lashes is not something you can fake. Either you have it or you don't. But mascara is your friend!
I use the Flash Lash Effect Mascara from MaxFactor. It really gets the job done, with hardly no clumps, and you get both length and volume. I have been using it for ages and I highly recommend it.
I curl my lashes before applying the mascara, to prevent them from breaking, and then move the mascara wand from side to side, from the bottom to the tips, and this is the result:

This is the standard one-layer mascara coating. If I want something dramatic, I just layer on until I'm satisfied.  Yes, I'm wearing contact lenses. :)

I HATE the fine lines, I'm starting to get. It really bothers me, but then again, there is no way back. We're all getting older!

Tell me, if you have another way of doing it, and which mascara you use.

Ear Update

I'm amazed on how fast my ear have retracted! It has only been a 10 days, and the result is unbelievable. I think!

It's hard to believe that I used to have 20mm inside my ears, when they look like this!!

Hope you all are having a great weekend!

Jewelry collection

For a long time I have been totally confused on how to store my jewelry so they wouldn't tangle, get lost and whatnot.
And I have finally found a way to do it, so I can see every single one of them!

I used my mirror to store the necklaces: The gold ones to the left and the silver to the right. A clever system, I think. :P

Furthermore I have divided my rings and braces into two glass bowls, and I actually like the result. It looks elegant and I can easily find what I need and get inspired, so I don't always pick out the same pieces.

I decorated it with some candles to make it look pretty!

Do you have any tips and tricks on how to store your jewelry, then share them! :)

Shopping!

I went down town today to look a bit around and, as usual, I came home with much more than I have planned for. I went to a charity-shop to see what they had in at the moment, and picked up some "new" vintage belts. They are adorable and can give your outfit a personal touch. This is what I got:

1. A green semi-wide belt, with an oval buckle in brass. The belt itself is bottle green leather.
2. White navy themed leather belt, with anchors in blue and gold, and a cute clasp.
3. Nude "snakeskin" standard size belt, with gold clasp and detail.

In total I paid 30 dkk,- (3 pounds), which is quite a bargain! I'm very pleased!

I also bought this on sale from Vila, on mistake. But it is so cute and a rather basic thing to have in your wardrobe, which I hadn't.

A simple nude cardigan, that will be perfect over sundresses this summer! The color turned out a bit grey on the photo, but it isn't.
100 dkk (10 pounds)

Last but not least, I went to the pharmacy to pick up my birth control pills, and saw these and HAD to have them:

La Roche-Posay products

It is a super moisturizing day creme, a cleanser and a creme for oily skin. If you are interested here is the link to La Roche-Posay website, and you can go check it out.
Furthermore I think I'm going to do a review on these items, so follow this blog and you can read about it when I have had some time to try 'em out.

If you want me to do tutorials, reviews or whatever, just post a comment and I'll try to do it :)

Favorite dresses and blouses

I have a love for dresses and shirts in a fine and flowy material. It looks really cute buttoned up and with a vintage belt in the waist and tons of fine jewelry. Here are some of my favorites:

All of the are actually from H&M at a affordable price. The two to the right is the same
model in different colors.

You can do the same thing with blouses and shirts, either tucked into jeans or a plain skirt or over leggins with a belt in the waist.
I do this to make sure I don't look fat. It may seem weird, but if you are curvy, with big hips and boobs you tend to look like a tent if you don't extenuate the waist-line. Belts are a really elegant way to do this.

From the left; 1.a fine, slightly see-through blouse from GinaTricot, 2. a shirt with bunnies on, a bit longer at the back than the front from H&M, 3. a blouse with a floral pattern, and a cut-out back from H&M, 4. two flowy blouses from GinaTricot, in white and a nude-orange.

I love these items, that can give your outfit a vintage and feminine feel. I will show you how you could wear it:

This is what the back looks like.

Sorry for the bad quality and the SpongeBob Cover(it's an inside joke).

Hope this was helpful, and you have got some new styling ideas. This is how I do because it fits my body. It probably won't fit everyone, so try some different things out to see what fits your body type!

Eyebrow tutorial

Hi!
I've got a request on how I do my eyebrows. Both color and shape. So here it is. I will guide you through how I do it and some tips on how to pluck yours in a shape that fits your face.

First of all: Color!
If you, like me, have a rather dark hair color and slighter light eyebrows, you should color them. It will do an enormous difference in your appearance, and your face will be more harmonious.
It's super easy to do yourself, and you can buy the color in almost every drugstore and some supermarkets.
This is what I use every 3 weeks

You just mix the formula like described on the box and apply! I let mine sit for about 20 min, and voila! Darker brows!
Just clean it off with a make-up removal pad.

Plucking:
After this I pluck the fly-aways. Here is a little guideline on how to pluck it to fit your face. Because something I really hate, is women with over-plucked brows where most of them are drawn on by a pencil. It a shame, because it is pretty simple to make your own brows look gorgeous and natural:

1. If you draw a line from the outer tip of your nose and directly up, that is where your brow should start.
2. Is the place where your brow should peak.
3. Where the brow should stop. You could also measure it. Approximately two finger-wide from the hairline and inwards.
4. You should be able to draw a horizontal line from the start to the end, to make sure your brows don't disappear into thin air!

These steps will suit you no matter what face-shape you have, because it is designed to follow the angels of any individual face.

Pain:
If you get really sore when plucking your eyebrows, you could place an ice cube on the area to ease the pain. Some find it helpful to smear on a bit of aloe vera creme as well.

This was pretty much it. Comment if you have any questions!

EyesLipsFace

I just received my packaged from ELF, an absolutely amazing cosmetic online-shop with prices you won't believe!!!

I won't even bother explaining the ridiculous prices, so have a look yourself:

http://www.eyeslipsface.co.uk/

This is what I bought this time. It may seem a bit much, but not at these prices!

It is a lot of nail polishes, a couple of lipsticks, blushes, a natural eye-shadow pallet, and three brushes.

The quality of the products is unbelievable in comparison to the prices. Most of my make-up is actually from ELF, an I have never been happier. The only thing I used regularly, that isn't from ELF, is my mascara:
And my foundation:

These products are amazing and I use them every day.
I have a lot of make-up, so the other day I bought a new make-up storage:

It's so pretty and matches the "theme" in my bedroom! It can also hold a lot of make-up in an effective way. Furthermore it is easy to carry around!

I'm a lucky girl! <3

How I got my hair color

This may seem strange, but a few years back I had black hair, and as most of you might know, you can't just go from black to a warm brown or blond over-night.

So I was asked how I got to this point in my "hair-history", in relation to the ombre hair dye. I'm going to try to explain it as well as I can.
WARNING! There's gonna be a some bad and old photos! Don't mind it, just look at the hair.

When I decided to "go off the black" I tried bleaching it a home. It made no difference what so ever! The hair was still as black as night!
Tough, because then I had to go to the hairdressers, which I normally never do! I mostly take care of my hair myself.

She said, that to get rid of the black, we had to make an extraction of the black hair dye. And I can tell you it was a long og horrible procedure, that left a lot to desire. My hair got very damaged and ended up being a greenish brown. I was disappointed, but it was the only way.

This is how it turned out, and a lot shorter than normal:

Some months went by, and I got pretty sick of it, and went straight back to the bleach.
It actually worked this time! It didn't go blond or anything, but got a more warm, red-ish shine.

BAD PICTURE!!!

Anywho. I slowly dyed it darker and darker and to day I have a warm chestnuty color.
I have had this for about 2 years now, and got a bit bored with it and decided to bleach the tips - I sound totally bleach-crazy!?

I did it using a strong home-bleach from Garnier. The lightest they had in store. Because I haven't done anything like this before, I test-bleached a strand of the hair from the bottom layers. Just to see how well it worked out and for how long the bleach should stay in.
After this I parted my hair in two and massaged the bleach in, up to about my chin. Doing it a bit messily. It sat for about 30 minutes and I washed it out. Then dried my hair and had a look. I decided to bleach the tips a bit more and rubbed it in at the very ends and left it for 20 more minutes.
AND THAT'S IT!

Here is the result (again).

I will try to take a picture of the entire hair, including the face, soon.

Hope you found this helpful.

D.I.Y. Ombre Hair..

The last couple of months I've been a bit bored with my hair, and as spring is nearing, I decided it was time to make a change.
So, I ombred it myself! It was a lot easier than I imagined, but you have to check up on it the entire time, so it doesn't get all bleach out. Because the only way to do it, when you have dark hair like me, is to bleach the tips. I can tell you; my hair wasn't too happy about it at the time, but after a lot of deep treatments, it's almost back to normal.

This is the result after working on it for three hours:

I've got to say, that I'm pretty pleased! It kinda gives the hair a lift, so it isn't as heavy-looking at the ends.
It could have been lighter, but I think the contrast would have been to harsh.

The hairstyle is adorable on Drew Barrymore, but as you can see there is quite a big contrast from root to tips.
I think this style ombre style works best with a slightly curly and messy hairdo, so it looks somewhat like you haven't colored your hair in a while.

If you wanna know how I colored it, comment and I will try to explain :)

First Entry!

Hi!
This is so exciting! My first ever blog entry! I found myself fairly bored today and wanted to do something different. So here it is!
There have been happing so much in my life lately, that I was compelled to make a blog just to try and keep track with it all.
The last year I've moved from Copenhagen, back to Haderslev, my home town. Started new school here, new apartment, new (and luckily also a lot of old friends), new jobs and a new horse! I'm ecstatic! :D
What's not to like?

Because so much had happen already, I wanted to share something with all of you who wants to listen.
Most of what is gonna be on here is related to fashion and beauty. Me sharing tips and tricks I have learned along the way. Hopefully all helpful!

At the moment I'm sitting in my bed listening to Rizzle Kicks, a rather new british hiphop-ish duo I absolutely adore! You should go check it out:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SxEINSBsbeo&feature=g-user-u&context=G2d2ed41UCGXQYbcTJ33adtRQiMQlhswVnweeawD6_b2O3JJ1L61g

Enormous link!

Anyhow. Something new has already happen. I've been forced to pull out my plugs in both of my stretched ears... Damnit!
Because they are as big as they are (20mm) it will be quit a struggle for them to retract back to normal. So, I will try to post photos of the development of this project and possibly some advice on how to do it best.

This is how it looks a the moment:

It looks disgusting, I know. Hopefully it will soon get better, and fingers crossed, I might be able to wear regular earrings this summer. If it can't/won't retract by it self I have to go see a plastic surgeon and paid for it to be sown back together. This is the last resort, I might add.

But I have been told that this product may help:

It is a Oil from Dr. Hauschka for stretch-marks. Not the same, but in the area. This should make the skin more elastic and to be massaged in in damp skin.

I will keep you posted on wether or not this works, and try to add pictures of my ears and the healing progress.

One last thing on this note. DON'T STRETCH YOUR EARS THIS BIG!!!!
